My second graders are curious, kind, creative, shy, hardworking, cooperative, and eager to learn! They also are full of energy and movement is essential. The carpet area is their favorite place. Sometimes they sit and other times they lay on their bellies. My second graders learn in many ways--by listening, thinking out loud, writing things down, illustrating their thoughts and ideas, creating ideas and concepts with their hands, and by sharing what they know. Every student is special to me, just as they are to their families. They are mine to teach, shape, and mold from morning until midday. I am blessed to be their teacher.
