Creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking are at the heart of effective education. These best practices are facilitated by providing students with consistent access to technology. I am asking for 7 Chromebooks so that I have a 2-1 ratio of students to computers in my classroom. Regular access to technology will allow my students to better prepare for the global community that they live in. With the additional 7 Chromebooks, I can provide students with the opportunity to work in pairs on STEM projects, research projects, creating video blogs about their learning, and creating digital portfolios that showcase their experiences in 5th grade.
