Scholastic News magazines will make a difference in my students' learning as they will be exposed to non-fiction content in the classroom, but can later bring the magazines home to share with their families. I plan on using these magazines in the classroom to help students build non-fiction background knowledge. They will be exposed to many different topics and main ideas, which is really exciting! Most of my families do not have books or reading materials at home for their children. This would be a great way to get reading materials into their homes for families to read and learn together.
