Our school was severely damaged by Hurricane Michael and as a result, my elementary school was a total loss. Our district has rearranged the schools in our town so we will have new homes beginning the 2019-2020 school year. My 5th grade class will be moving to an old high school science lab with built in lab tables! It is only fitting that I work to give my new students a fun and flexible learning environment after the devastation that occurred. By allowing students to choose an area that works best for them, I will be establishing a sense of responsibility for their learning. The wobble stools and balancing balls are popular choices among students of all ages and will be a great addition to our new space.
