My students are newly arrived immigrants who want to learn English and their new culture. They need materials that will get them excited about learning a new language. The construction paper and scissors will be used to create a poster representing their culture. I want them to feel proud of what they are bringing.The magnets will be used to display their work! The composition notebooks will be used to encourage daily writing in journal form. Each child is very dear to me and their success is my success. These materials will help greatly and will allow students to become active participants in their new learning community!
