Information is constantly changing. Chromebooks will allow students to search for the most current information while learning how to distinguish useful from fictional information. My students are expected to research information on science topics and also complete cross curricular activities that will require them to find information, create projects, and save them. My student need practice putting projects together and actually typing their research and words. With a small ratio of classroom computers to students, students take hours typing and putting their projects together. More technology in the classroom will allow for more practice time to increase their speed and agility. Additionally, my students live in a digital world where technology actually enhances their interest and excitement for learning. I am excited about the ideas that will spawn from their projects because they are fully invested in what they are learning.
