The sand table allows my students to strengthen their motor development while building their problem solving skills by using multiple tools at once. It also allows my students to use their creativity and increase their knowledge in physics, math, and physical science. You may wonder how a sand table can help with math and physics. My student may wonder how many scoops of sand it will take to fill the bucket or how can I hold the funnel in the bottle while pouring sand. They are using the scientific method: forming the hypothesis, conducting an experiment, seeing the results, and making conclusions all from a sand table.
