The iPads with covers that I am requesting for my students will be used to support their reading skills using various apps. The students will be able to manipulate letters and words, practice sight words, and read stories online. This will also give me the opportunity to work one on one with students as others are engaged in meaningful literacy activities. The iPads will allow students to use the technology programs that will let support their specific goals and needs. The children love working on these devices, and do not realize that they are extending their learning of reading and writing. Currently we have one iPad for our Title Reading students and we would love an additional two iPads so more students can benefit from this technology and make reading and writing fun!
