I am the librarian at a PreK to 5th grade elementary. I serve 515 students. We are a fine arts magnet school. Our students come from all over the district with a variety of economic, social and ethnic backgrounds. They must apply to attend Milam and then follow guidelines for behavior, attendance, and grades to remain at Milam. These students choose our school because they are interested in our extra fine arts programs like art, dance, drama, piano, choir, harp and violin. We offer students many academic and fine arts opportunities. We are 59% economically disadvantaged and a Title 1 school.
