Most students enjoy playing on computers, but what if chrome books and tablets could help them learn too. My students do benefit from the computers and my data shows this consistently. This is why I am doing this project, so my students will all have access to chrome books or tablets while in my class. Through the use of laptops and tablets my students will be able to succeed academically and socially through the joy of learning. Students will be able to do lessons that I put on the Chrome books through various educational websites. Students will learn and practice their math facts daily. They will also learn phonics, reading, problem solving and science and Social Studies through interactive websites; and these are just a few on the ones I use . On Study Island, and iReady, I can schedule tests, lessons and games for students to practice their skills. I use the data provided by these websites to track students’ progress. There I can adjust what the students are learning and add more resources, I also use the data and adjust my teaching so that I can help them in their areas of weakness. Students also learn math or strengthen their skills by playing the game "Prodigy". In this game, once you achieve certain levels you are able to battle other students. I would also be able use tablets to teach Sight Words to students who are struggling with reading and lastly, the tablets can be used to record what students say and then they can write their stories. Chrome books and tablets would be an asset to all of my students where learning is concerned.
