My students are amazing. They come to school each day wanting to know more. We focus on building a community of learners, being good citizens, and making healthy choices. In whole group, small group, or working with individual students, I use a variety of approaches to reach all the learners in my class. Some of my students had previous experiences in a school setting: Transitional Kindergarten or preschool. For other students in our class, this is their first school experience. Our class has several students that speak more than one language. We celebrate the ability to speak more than one language, We learn about and respect others' cultures and traditions. Our school is a Title I School. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. We are fortunate that our school population is a reflection of the beautiful and unique community that embraces us.
