My students need hands-on materials to stimulate their minds and promote problem-solving skills through engaging activities such as the STEM station and engineering center. We also need testing shields for personal privacy during weekly assessments. These materials will make such a huge difference in my classroom. I want my students to be able to have access to engaging materials that stimulate their minds and teach them a variety of ways to develop strategies they can use to conquer problems they may come across. The STEM materials (STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) will give the students the option to stay engaged during free times thoughout the day rather than worksheets or finding negative distractions to occupy their time. STEM education is an approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are paired with real-world lessons as students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to make connections between school, community, and work.
