I am so excited to have started my first year as a fourth grade teacher at a Title I school. My classroom is filled with students of all kinds of backgrounds, cultures, and languages. Over eighty percent of my class receives free or reduced price lunch at school, which means that they come from low income homes. Nearly every student is an English Language Learner so English is their second language. Despite these hardships and challenges, my twenty-five students come in eager to learn and grow each day in Room 206! Their engagement and passion for learning keeps me motivated to work hard to provide meaningful, challenging lessons that grow their minds both academically, as well as emotionally.
