For me, TIME for Kids was a vital part of learning about events taking place around the world. I learned to love non-fiction and read articles. My current 4th graders do not have an authentic source of non-fiction articles to learn from. TIME for Kids would allow me to connect social studies and language arts together. Most of my students have never read a magazine. Using Time for Kids would allow age-appropriate stories to help them learn about the world around them. Our world is constantly changing, and giving my students the opportunity to stay connected is vital. We are a STEM based classroom that would love to read about current topics in our world and show how kids can be journalists too!
