At this point at the beginning of the year I have only known my students for a small amount of time but I already love them so much. They are West Dallas residents enrolled in a public charter school that has one goal...prep these scholars to go to college. Although they are only in 1st grade, they tell me everyday that they want to go to college and they each have their sweet selections of which Universities they know about and want to attend. While they live in a community that where only 2% of the population have a college degree, this does not affect the determination and dream of these students to be anything they want to be and since this school opened in 2010, the trajectory of the lives of these students is beginning to change and I am honored to be one link to this chain that will get these scholar to college graduation!
