A day in the life of a 4th grader... My students need digital cameras to help integrate technology, writing, and art. They will be taught basic photography skills in order to illustrate their stories. They will document a typical school day to share with their families. This will be printed out for those families that do not have internet access at home. Students will create digital diaries to document and reflect on their 4th grade year. They will learn to write short narratives with photos/videos capturing the moment. We will continuously upload and update their stories on Google docs. Families and friends will be able to view their stories at open house on Chromebooks. The students will use the photos and videos they used in their digital diary to make an Animoto video as a culmination project celebrating their 4th grade year. This project will inspire my students to continue their literary journey in school and beyond.
