My students need books for math read alouds! These books will be used for mini-lessons-- each one that I picked out is engaging and will "hook" the kids in to learning about math. Math read alouds will become a staple in our classroom. These books will be used throughout the year and for years to come! Every student learns differently, and these read alouds will appeal to both auditory and visual learners. When a new concept is introduced to students, my plan is to have a read aloud to go with it. Once we have read the book together, the book will be left at the "read to learn math" center for students to use independently or with a partner. I know that these books will really help my students gain a better understanding of math concepts!
