First graders are very energetic and love to wiggle and move around which results in a loss of focus. If my first grade class had these exercise ball chairs for flexible seating options, it would not only promote healthy posture in our little ones, but help students with a high need for focus to be more engaged during the lesson and all throughout the school day. Students, especially the individuals with attention disorders, will be able to get their wiggles out and focus by bouncing on the chair, while not distracting other students by making noises or moving around the room. These chairs will encourage students to stay in their seats more often instead of getting up and being where they are not supposed to be. These chairs will also help my students with their posture in hopes that it will help their backs and necks in the future.
