Classroom libraries are essential for second graders as they are still LEARNING TO READ. The problem is that their teacher--ME--just transferred to a new grade and have zero books to add to their classroom library. These second grade books will build our class library. They will provide a variety of choices for them to read no matter their interest. Having a classroom library will enable the students to check out books on their reading level throughout the school day and take them home to share with their families. We just need someone to help us grow this much needed library for our classroom.
