This is a K-5 Visual Arts Classroom that provides an interdisciplinary approach to learning, using Art as a vehicle of instruction. We are a STEM certified Elementary School and all of my Visual Arts lessons are STEAM oriented, using the Engineering process of problem solving. Students use technology as a means to investigate and solve real world problems using a high degree of creativity. I effect vertical and horizontal planning with my colleagues to insure the curriculum matches what grade level homeroom teachers are focusing on in their classrooms, while adding how the Fine Arts enhance and propel the learning experiences.
