After completeing an anatomy unit with emphasis on the cardiovascular system, students will deep dive into the dissection of animal hearts. Students will learn what makes the cardiovascular system of humans and several animals, inlcuding the ones they are going to dissect. With this project, students will have the opportunity to see first hand the similarities and differences of human hearts compared to a pig, frog and sheep heart. Students will be engaged, enthralled and overall excited to have this opportunity! They can't wait to have the opportunity to "cut open" a heart. Their hands will get dirty and their minds will grow.
