The aim of advisory is to allow students to have a space in which they feel is their "home-away-from-home". That being said, I buy students breakfast foods, mid-day snacks, and school supplies in order to set them up for success. As an advisor, I will have the same students from their freshman year until their graduation, so we will be able to utilize these year after year. Our school does not currently have any after school or before school programming, so us teachers are trying to engage in safe activities before and after school.Students come in both before and after school, especially when taking public transit, and often want to use class materials before school is in session. Spanish class with me is also an engaging time! We create projects that directly impact the community in positive ways! Almost all class time is spent speaking in Spanish, too!
