Students in our school have texts that were printed when I was in school and before. They are limited on the amount of current texts because there are very few "sets" available for teachers to use. Often times our Guided Reading sets lack enough copies for all students to have their hands on an actual book. I want to bring the love of learning through a variety of fictional and non-fictional texts that will interest both boys and girls. During Guided Reading these books with be used in small groups and well as in my classroom library for all to explore.
