I would like to assist students with increasing their interest of reading. If having a comfy seat, and the ability to focus can build their interest, then this would be the beginning to a new direction for them. Reading is essential in all life skills. Being able to read, and enjoying reading can open many doors to build positive changes in their lives. Reading can take students to new places in their minds. It can give them the knowledge to make the life changes one may need for building a better life. Seeing a student's excitement when he or she makes connections, and begin to comprehend a story, makes the extra effort needed to engage middle school students all worth it.

About my class
