Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future. By having two iPads in our classroom, I will be able to differentiate and plan different structures of learning in my classroom. The students will see the process from the beginning to a final product. With these iPads, my students can practice using on-line educational programs that will keep them focused and engaged. In addition, the students will be able to research current events that will help promote their writing skills. Our classroom is not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap.
