My students are very enthused children who really want to take their learning to the next level. In my classroom, I like to support student's meta-cognitive abilities. It is my hope that my students grow while in my classroom and become strong, sufficient, and independent readers. This can only start if I have a classroom library with contemporary novels of high interest that spark their interest. The novels I would like to order for my students are, " Copper Sun", " "The Outsiders", "The Road to Memphis", and " I am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban." Although, the novels are different in theme; they give my students a wide range of novels that will peak their reading interest. It is our hope we receive a class set (25) for each novel.
