Collaboration and interaction are important components of my students' language and social development. I've arranged my students' seats into table groups for whole group instruction. However, the tables in my classroom do not have space for students to store their materials nearby (notebooks, folders, library books, etc.). Therefore, my class is in need of chair pockets to help students stay organized and access their materials quickly. Receiving chair pockets will allow my students to continue to learn in collaborative table groups, while also teaching them organizational skills and responsibility. Having chair pockets will also help to minimize the transition time needed to gather materials, and therefore maximize instructional time during the school day. Please help my students acquire the supplies necessary to learn these important skills before leaving the primary grades. They have a short window of time to prepare for the mainstream school environment, and your support will have a positive impact on their future success!
