My students need more technology to be competitive with their counterparts across the state. Graphing calculators will allow them to see the behavior of algebraic relationships. It will help them connect math to the real-world and make predictions based on the behaviors of the graphical models created using graphing calculators. Handheld technology gives our students the experience of physically manipulating data and observing change in real time. It can be the difference between a good learning activity and a great learning experience. Our students are college bound, and need these tools to be competitive in post-secondary life. With graphic calculators, we can give them this advantage.
