We come together a number of times each day in the front of the classroom. We call it our "Community Space". There we learn through lessons, sharing, problem solving, and read-alouds. There are a large number of students in the classroom and they don't have a designated spot to sit when we gather. This creates chaos when we come together. This rug would give each child their own personal space while promoting community-building within the classroom. These children need a sense of belonging and will thrive within the structure I will be able to provide. I am excited to help foster this sense of acceptance and tolerance within my students.
