We are a high poverty, low income school who is looking to engage students with high interest, relevant and timely materials. We are hoping to get copies of The Freedom Writers Diary into our students' hands and encourage a life-long love of reading. Students will engage with the book The Freedom Writers because it is so relatable to their lives. In order the teacher resources, along with the books for students, our teachers will be able to make Freedom Writers come to life in their classrooms, and students will connect to others who have been in their shoes and made it!

About my class
