Solving a lot of problems in class facilitates retention and master of the concepts in chemistry. In the past my students have not submitted homework assignments that are supposed to help them retain and apply what they learn in the chemistry class. I have carefully reflected on the constant use of phones in class with the excuse that it is being used for academic purposes. While this may be true in some cases, most students spend their time texting rather than learning and I would want to deploy a similar technology to engage my students in class. The use of these four iPads in the class will be make learning fun, save time and cost of printing some learning materials.
