Every year my 3rd - 5th graders learn about magnets and electromagnets. Due to a lack of materials, students in past years have learned these concepts through teacher demonstration. I believe that a hands-on approach would really make a difference in my students' understanding of these concepts. These materials are reusable, so year after year these kits can continue to have an impact on my students' science education. These materials will keep students engaged in science and lead to a deeper understanding of scientific phenomena. Students who understand science will be ready to face the challenges of secondary education and informed citizenship.

About my class
