I think we can all agree: traditional school chairs are uncomfortable. Many students prefer the floor, but it's hard. Now picture a 1st grader climbing up a ladder to a padded loft. She sits down, her back cushioned, and quickly becomes absorbed in the audio book on her iPad. Beside her is a boy engrossed in a book. Underneath the loft, you see two students in gaming rockers...one reading, the other playing a phonics game. Students shouldn't have to wait their "turn" to be comfy. The flexible seating I've requested will help them stay engaged as they work. Engaged students become life-long learners.
