My students come from low socioeconomic households where it is often difficult to meet their basic needs so school may not always be where the attention is focused. Some of the families are able to provide school supplies. However, when provided, the school supplies, go to the homeroom teachers. I'm the special education lab pull out teacher who kids that need extra help come to for modifications and accommodations to meet their educational needs. School supplies do not typically come to my classroom so I would like to request some basic school supplies and items for the classroom to make it functional for learning. I would also like to create a flexible seating arrangement where kids who have difficulty staying seated can be more comfortable and be able to stay on focus.
