My students learn very quickly that the first thing they do each day is grab their binder from the closet, find their seat, open to their Do Now section and get working. This is a system that I have utilized each year of teaching 9th grade Algebra and has worked effectively for keeping students organized and avoiding the dreaded "I lost it" response. These binders will help students house all of their classwork, notes, and other materials in an organized way in the classroom. Each student will receive their own binder, with a table of contents, tabs for Do Now, Notes, Classwork, and extra paper, all of which I will provide for them.
