We are a special education preschool program in the SRVUSD. Our preschool special education classroom is an early intervention program that develops and implements effective strategies that are uniquely designed for individual students. It is a research-based educational program, which supports the development of each child. We utilize a play-based approach to support each child's physical, cognitive, and social emotional development. Our preschool special education classroom serves preschool children aged 3-5 years who have been identified with a disability and who have qualified for an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Our preschool special education class is designed to target children's individual needs and goals in a language-rich environment. The curriculum of the classes is built around the California Preschool Learning Foundations and Framework, in conjunction with each child's IEP goals.
