We want to use flexible seating in our classroom because different students learn in different ways. We want to ensure that students are in the best environment to complete their best work. Second, flexible seating promotes students' independence. Our students will be able to make responsible choices on the seat he or she decides. It gives the students responsibility and accountability by allowing them to make smart choice about his or her seat. Flexible seating like Hokki Stools and a Cozy Lounger includes burning more calories, using up excess energy, improving metabolism, increased motivation and engagement, creating a better oxygen flow to the brain, and improving core strength and overall posture. Physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior.
