As a first year teacher with a minimum budget, I am unable to provide for my students in many ways. As much as I wish I could offer them the supplies that they need, I find myself lacking basic needs like markers, paper, and other classroom supplies to make it a comfortable environment. Being a first year teacher has its challenges, but I want to continue to encourage students to try their best in all that they do. Providing basic supplies for students is foundation of making productivity visible. I want students to be able to proudly show off their work to their peers and parents as they create colorful thinking maps and posters that demonstrate their knowledge. I am hoping to achieve that by offering materials to them that they can utilize. With these materials, students will be able to utilize their creative skills and complete projects using markers, and colored pencils. One project that I would like students to do regularly is create posters and brochures that demonstrate their understanding of the content being taught across subjects. The storage options will also teach students to be organized and responsible as they take charge through classroom "jobs" to keep these storage areas tidy. Thank you for your donation!
