I teach 1 sixth grade merit class, 3 eighth grade merit classes and 1 eighth grade math workshop or intervention class. My students become extensions of my family. We work together so that they can reach their full potential in a positive learning environment. I try to keep the students organized as best I can so that they enter the room fully prepared for their day in math. I do this by purchasing a composition or spiral notebook, pencils and a pocketed folder for every student. With class sizes on the rise of 25-36 students in every class, this becomes a personal budget challenge, but I still want to do this. Another thing that hinders learning is the screeching of the chair legs against the linoleum floor. I am trying to purchase chair leg caps to reduce this sound so students do not get so annoyed with it. Can you please help me, to help them! Thank you for your generosity and dedication to education!
