This project will help my students be able to glean a specific and comprehensive understanding of different types of text. The products that I have selected will assist my students in becoming more engaged in the reading process. Reading comprehension, fluency, and effective paragraph writing are essential skills that all students need. During our weekly Close Reading activities, the use of these materials I have chosen to create Reading Toolkits, which include highlighters, sticky notes, pencils and red pens, will guide them on the path to success of mastering these skills. By donating to our project, you will help to improve and increase student reading engagement and focus, as well as ultimately helping to increase their academic achievement.
