I am a first year teacher, apart of a brand new behavioral room program in my district. The students in our classroom will be working on their social and emotional skills through; directed play, lessons, activities, etc. We will be using the wobble chairs and the balance ball chair for classroom furniture in making our day a tad bit more comfortable and allowing the students to work on their choice making skills on where they would want to sit for the day. The sand, water beads, bouncy bands, and fidget items will be extremely beneficial for our students who have extra sensory needs. Our students need structure and a place to store all of our activities and task cards, which is the need for the three drawer carts. Another thing our students need for the classroom in order to have structure is the Velcro dots, our students need a lot of visuals which we will need to hang up with the Velcro so they will be able to pull them down and move them. The counting bears and jumbo tweezers will be worked into our social skill lessons, this way we will be able to learn in a fun way. Our timers would be used to collect duration data for our students throughout the day. Any donations/shares are greatly appreciated, by our students, my paraprofessional and myself. Anything will go a long way in order to help these students who are amazing people and even one or all of these items would help in order to make our day go an ounce smoother. Thank you everyone!
