“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” - Dr. Seuss My students range from ninth grade to twelfth grade; however, the average reading level is third grade. By providing them with comfortable place to read, I am hoping that they will want to read rather than it being a requirement. They are very aware of the fact that they are not reading on the same level as their peers which makes them reluctant to read. While there is required academic reading, my goal is to encourage reading for pleasure so that they can become better readers.
