The variety of books that I have chosen are sure to inspire my students to keep on reading! They are in the midst of building their reading lives and so they need books that they can get excited about! As soon as we receive the books, we will do some book tastings/book talks to build excitement around our new books. I will read aloud the blurb on the back and the first 2 pages to garner excitement about the book. I'll stop at a point where it gets good. The students will beg for me to continue and I'll show them where they can find the book in the library. For these books, there might even be a waiting list!
