These books will expose students to examples of how to show tolerance and empathy, while, finding peace within themselves. They will learn about peacemakers who used peaceful means to achieve greatness. Reading these books will provide students with the opportunity to share their own experiences and learn how others solved their problems in a peaceful way. Students will learn about the courage and bravery of others from the past. My hope is that reading these books will inspire my students to pave their own way through the classroom, school community and through the everyday life and challenges of a 2nd grader.

About my class
