With the development of SMART phones and GPS navigational systems, the need for being well-versed in map skills has taken a back seat in the lives of students. My goal, as a third grade teacher, is to bring these skills back to the the forefront of the education of my students. Having access to the Map Skills for Today Workbooks that I have requested, will help greatly with the teaching of these skills. With the extreme public school budget cuts, purchasing rich and engaging student materials, has become very difficult to do and purchasing them out-of-pocket is not feasible. My students and I will be greatly appreciative!
