My students struggle with traditional textbooks and auditory instruction. Textbook funding is limited and the technology allows the students to follow step by step procedures and visualize problem solving strategies to handle the academics. The sensitivity of touch screens and the use of educationally appropriate applications enrich the learning process. The students can enlarge text, navigate without the struggle of using a mouse, and use as a communication device between student and teacher. Education programs can be customized to accommodate each learner. iPads can be used for oral response that may be an accommodation in their learning in the classroom.
