If my students get their hands on these phonics and sight word centers they will be able to learn or deepen their knowledge, and will be able to use this new knowledge to create sentences that are grammatically correct. The students will be able to figure out phonics words and sight words by building them and seeing the patterns as they create the words. They will be able to build and decode new and familiar words. They will increase in spelling skills as they challenge each other to spell within the game. They will be able to work independently or in small groups. They LOVE reading centers! They will be practicing skills to help them develop their reading and understanding of grade level books. It will strengthen their weaknesses and build a strong foundation of engaging readers that will last a lifetime.
