My students participate in STEAM activities on a weekly basis. They love these activities because they are able to think outside of the box and beyond paper and pencil. The iPads will be used to enhance the learning even farther during this time. Students will use the iPads to practice their coding skills, control robots, create digital stories and movies, and collaborate together on several topics. We want every child to be ready for the world that they live in today. These new 21st century learners are highly relational and demand quick access to new knowledge. More than that, they are capable of engaging in learning at a whole new level. With the world literally at their fingertips, today’s students need teachers to re-envision the role of technology in the classroom. These iPads will help help us take one more step forward in that regard. These iPads will help my students with reading, math, and science because they will be able to use apps and visit websites (like BrainPop Jr) that will engage them with the topic I am teaching. Students will benefit from working in small groups and independently.
