My students will use their tablets in many aspects of our daily classroom life. They will assist us in our reading comprehension skills in our daily centers. We will use them to listen to reading, practice essential foundational skills and improve fluency. Students will also use the tablets to improve their writing and create informative writing pieces. Many students do not have access to technology outside of school and these tablets will provide them with an experience to increase their learning and explore the world outside their classroom. I plan to use the tablets to teach tolerance through an understanding of our community, providing students a glimpse into different and unique situations and encouraging them to embrace differences. Students will also experience tolerance first hand by collaborating and working together using our classroom resources.
