Working with students from a variety of cultures and economic backgrounds creates a very diverse learning environment. My students need a solution to help channel their energy and allow them to move around in a way so that they can stay focused and learn to their greatest ability. If we were to receive these materials in our classroom, my students would be able to meet more of their physical and educational needs. We need Wobble chairs and Bouncy Bands for Seats. A large majority of my students love movement. Whether it is playing sports at recess or walking back and forth to the water fountain, many students in my room love moving around. From a teacher's perspective, I was initially confused by why so many of my students desired to get out of their seats. However, I soon realized that this desire I assumed my students had was actually a need that needed to be met. Physical movement allows those students to channel their energy and refocus themselves for what they are learning or for the task they are working on. These materials would greatly assist my students who need the movement to stay focused or need a release of energy. Meeting all the needs of my students is necessary for them to continue to succeed educationally. I hope to help them meet this need so they can continue to progress and be the best the learners they can be. These materials will help them be the best learners they can be by helping to meet all of their needs.
